Sam is my incredibly sacrificial, servant-hearted, loving-like-Jesus husband. He supported and gave of himself so much throughout this process. He helped take what I did and make the chord progressions more creative! He is a multi-instrumentalist, so he helped me track demo arrangements to give to the band for some of these tracks.

He also took the beautiful photos and videos surrounding this project.

He also gave financially to this project. And more.

Alex helped with this project from top to bottom. He gave so sacrificially and generously of his time.

As he is the lead pastor and my boss at Life Church Livonia. He lovingly heard many of the ugly cries and honest processing that birthed this album into the world. He was so gracious, kind and patient with me. He is an incredible friend.

He helped me make decisions on this album when I got stuck, he helped me with lyrics, and just played so beautifully and creatively. He was present even down to mixing and mastering notes.

Kristin was an integral part of this album existing! Her and Alex would encourage, meet with me, help me make final decisions I was waffling between as it pertained to lyrics/melody.

Kristin was there for me through this wilderness season as well as a dear friend, listener and prayed fervently for me.

She helped write lyrics for “Home” and “The Table” and they are better for it because of her and Alex.

Rich— what a guy. He is an absolute delight to be around. He is such a good friend, human and an incredible artist.

He often puts other artist’s project before his own. He is an incredible artist himself.

I often struggle to make decisions (lol) but I knew from the beginning Mr. Rich needed to be part of this album process. I knew that I would feel so comfortable stepping into his studio and feeling free to create, but I also knew his production leanings would be the right sound for these arrangements.

From recording, to simple tasteful twists to the sonic landscape, to auxiliary instruments, Mr. Rich helped sculpt this music so much. I am so grateful for his presence in my life and his mark on these songs!!

Eric and I have been playing music together since the summer of 2010 when we met on Wellspring at Spring Arbor University as we are also in The Timbre of Cedar together (along with Alex, Sam & Andy). It’s crazy to say that.

Eric was so faithful through the whole process of arranging these songs and bringing them into the world!

He is so detailed, precise like a clock, and so creative with how he thinks through is parts.

Andrew is such a gift to this planet and to my life! Before his sweet baby girl Nora came into the world, he really helped shape these songs with myself, Sam, Eric and Alex (essentially our other band, The Timbre of Cedar).

There were many hours he invested in being part of the arranging sessions.

I also want to thank Meredith for the sacrifice of allowing him to be part of this process of crafting these songs on the front end.

Blaine— I love you. I know you have so much of your own music to tend to, but it means the world to me to have you part of this album.

Blaine eats, sleeps and breathes guitar. I don’t think I am exaggerating when I say that.

You’ll find on the song “Sustainer” the most beautiful guitar part that just soars. He plays with heart and agility and so much care. He practiced Andy’s parts and added his sweet flairs throughout.

It is an honor to have Blaine on this album.

It was such a gift to have Jake part of this process. He not only cared for me in crafting beautifully mixed and mastered tracks, but he also cared for me spiritually.

Our conversations not only surrounded the mix process, but also discussion around seasons of wilderness, trusting God through hard times, and to keep pressing on.

Jake is so resilient and such a hard worker. He sacrificed so much time and energy to shape these songs into what they are, making such a beautiful authentic yet polished sound.

Aaron & Vanessa have been such a gift through this journey of making these songs.

They too have known hardship, so our depth of conversation naturally is so special as it goes so deep. As they are beautiful creators, I knew they had to be part of this album in some way.

Vanessa helped me process aeshetic and visuals around this album and went on a shopping spree together for the outfit I landed on for the cover images.

Aaron & Vanessa sang on “The Lord is My Shepherd,” and Vanessa added her stunning vocals to “Garden.”

We had such a fun time tracking at Alex’s house for these keys parts!
